A smart route-assignment platform that replaced Renuity's outdated system, combining custom algorithms, Google integration and a low-code architecture to cut sales reps' travel time and give managers real-time visibility.

Renuity faced a crucial challenge. Its existing platform for assigning customer routes to sales reps was outdated and hard to maintain. Not only did this tool lack the capacity to incorporate new features, but its outdated interface also hindered daily operations. It urgently needed a dynamic platform that would automate and optimize sales reps' routes, seeking maximum efficiency and use of its resources.

The solution: ANR, a smart and efficient platform

To address this challenge, we developed a comprehensive solution that began with an in-depth Discovery phase, essential to understand Renuity's needs and design a tailor-made platform.

Discovery phase: understanding the heart of the business

We started with an exhaustive analysis of the pre-existing assignment system, identifying its technical and operational limitations. We conducted key interviews with stakeholders to understand their daily workflows, their frustrations with the previous tool and their expectations of a new solution. We mapped the assignment criteria and the optimization variables (such as traffic, distance and visit time), and designed interface prototypes to validate workflows and usability early on with end users.

Development of the Renuity ANR platform

We developed a highly functional and intuitive logistics platform that transforms assignment management for its sales team:

• Smart route assignment: The platform implements advanced algorithms that, based on multiple variables defined by Renuity, assign customers to sales reps in the most efficient way, minimizing travel times and optimizing the sequence of visits.
• Integration of Google's smart libraries: to create optimized routes in a clear and accessible interface, allowing sales reps to navigate efficiently and access customer information in real time.
• Low-code development for agility and adaptability: We used a low-code approach (combined with traditional code) that allowed for fast delivery of the solution, greater adaptability to Renuity's future needs and a significant reduction in long-term infrastructure costs. This approach also made fast data integration easier.

To build this robust, scalable solution with agile implementation, we relied on a strategic set of modern technologies:

• Frontend: Quasar (based on Vue.js): Selected to develop the interactive, cross-platform web user interface, ensuring a smooth and consistent user experience.
• n8n: A powerful low-code tool that allowed us to orchestrate complex workflows, automate the connection to various data sources and Google services, and manage integration logic efficiently.
• Backend and business logic: Python: Leveraged for its versatility, robustness and capabilities to implement complex route optimization algorithms and process large volumes of data.
